Katie, Anna, Tristan and Doug are installing the Milestone Pebble Mosaic today! 29 (very heavy) pre-cast slabs built this summer in the park with community members will be assembled together to create one 12′ in diameter mosaic. Thanks to the crew at Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation for preparing the site for this new artwork.

We finished 5 community consultations where we discussed and made art around “what is means to live in Canada, on this part of Turtle Island, as an Indigenous person, a settler or a newcomer. Now, we are starting to build the mosaic in Winchester Park. We are building the mosaic upside-down, putting pebbles in sand inside a pre-built frame.
