Milestone – building the mosaic!

We finished 5 community consultations where we discussed and made art around “what is means to live in Canada, on this part of Turtle Island, as an Indigenous person, a settler or a newcomer. Now,  we are starting to build the mosaic in Winchester Park. We are building the mosaic upside-down, putting pebbles in sand inside a pre-built frame.

Three children gather around a frame with pebbles in it. ONe child has a spray bottle and is spraying the pebbles. The other two children are placing pebbles into sand at the bottom of the frame
